Rollerblade's Twister Edge model is arguably the quintessential inline skate. The Rollerblade Twister Edge 2021 110 3WD is the elite level three-wheel urban version.
The Boot
The moulded boot creates edges like no other, aesthetically crisp as heck. The anatomical fit and inclusion of an "Anti-Torsion Box" increases control. An anti-torsion box is a component built into the mould that reduces the flexion of plastic whilst in use, making the skate more responsive.
The mould features aluminium plates and lateral sliders built directly into the frame attachment area to increase power transfer. The 'metal on metal' between these plates and the aluminium frame reduces shock absorption, adding energy transference, making the overall impression of the skate very agile and quick.
Under the Boot
An extruded aluminium 3x110mm 243mm frame lowers the overall weight and works in synergy with the plates to enhance responsivity. Rollerblade has included 110mm Hydrogen wheels, the most prestigious wheels in the world. This quality urethane assures maximum speed, grip and durability. The Twincam ILQ 7 Plus bearings, which use Japanese Kyodo grease, are in keeping with the skates speedy style. The bearing lubricant reduces unwanted grit which is perfect for regular recreational use.
Ventilation
Rollerblade has also worked hard on the ventilation of these skates, emphasized by the v-shaped liner. Impressive cushioning found in "pressure" areas keep the foot snug but cooled. A heel pad is included for shock absorption when required.
What's not to like ?
We are inclined to say nothing! Some people report that they fit slightly small, but going one half to one size up doesn't seem to impact the "look down" of the skate and works very well. The build is compact but designed to accommodate different foot widths and dimensions very well.
-No brake is included with this model

Size tip
The Twister skates are using a new style liner which is a little thicker than the previous Twister skates. This is making the skate feel a little small. We'd recommend buying 0.5-1 sizes up from your regular size and allowing yourself sufficient time to 'bed-in' the liner.
